Zhenjiang's Innovative Highlights Stand Out at Smart Manufacturing Session

A few days ago, the Smart Manufacturing Session of the 2025 China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Industry-University-Research Collaboration Conference was concluded in Nanjing with great success. At the event, Zhenjiang's innovative strengths took center stage. Four technological enterprises from the city shared their international cooperation cases and released collaboration demands. Zhenjiang Liuhengji Food Co Ltd, alongside with Jiangsu University, signed a tripartite agreement with the University of Banja Luka from Bosnia and Herzegovina. This partnership aims to systematically align traditional Chinese brewing techniques with the agricultural technology systems of CEEC countries.

Spearheaded by the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the session drew over 60 participants to discuss on international cooperation in smart manufacturing. Among them were experts from CEEC countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, Serbia, and North Macedonia, as well as representatives from universities, research institutions, and enterprises within Jiangsu Province.

The group participation of Zhenjiang's technological enterprises became a highlight of the matching conference. Four local technology companies, namely Zhenjiang Liuhengji Food CoLtd, AECC Materials (Zhenjiang) Additive Manufacturing CoLtd, Jiangsu Lianbo Precision Technology Co Ltd, and Zhenjiang Tongzhou Propeller Co Ltd, shared their successful experience in international sci-tech collaboration and released a series of cooperation demands reflecting the city's industrial characteristics. Their presentations sparked enthusiastic responses from Chinese and foreign attendees.

During the signing session, Zhenjiang enterprises demonstrated positive performance.Liuhengji Food, joining hands with Jiangsu University, reached a tripartite cooperation with the University of Banja Luka. In this regard, Liu Chaojun, General Manager of the company, expressed that as an enterprise engaged in the research and development, production, and sales of traditional vinegar and its derivative products, Liuhengji has developed extensive applications of vinegar in fields such as medicine, health products, beverages, chemicals, and seasoning. He highlighted the strong synergy the University of Banja Luka, which possesses advanced technology in acid-tolerant bacterial strains and related control methods.

Notably, ten "Partner Institutions" of the China-CEEC Technology Transfer Center were officially designated at the event. Among them, Jiangsu University signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Novi Sad of Serbia. Statistics show that Jiangsu University has established collaborations with universities in 12 central and eastern European countries and signed memorandums with 16 institutions of CEEC, leveraging its strengths in agricultural machinery to jointly build smart agriculture laboratories with multiple countries. As one of the first "Partner Institutions", Jiangsu University has also facilitated the transformation of 11 research outcomes in Zhenjiang.
